Chris has spent his entire career working in senior care in a variety of settings. He has long recognized the wisdom we gain when we honor the seniors in our lives by viewing the world through their experienced lens. Chris was drawn to this work immediately, leading and operating a 33-apartment assisted living community directly after graduating business school. His extensive experience includes overseeing all operations of single campuses (Non-Profit and For-Profit) as well as managing multi-site portfolios of Independent Living, Assisted Living/Memory Care, Adult Day Services and Private Duty Home Care. In addition to overseeing all day-to-day operations, such as ensuring compliance with state licensing and operating laws, staffing requirements, and human resource management, Chris’ responsibilities have included managing operating and capital budgets of all sizes, overseeing strategic fundraising, and funding opportunities, containing costs, providing P&L expertise, overseeing large capital projects, and managing marketing and sales efforts. Most recently, Chris’ focus has included strategic initiatives that emphasize Resident/Family/Employee satisfaction.
Chris has managed operations for companies such as Alterra (Brookdale), Certus Management, Senior Lifestyle Corporation and Americare Living Services, including leading turn-around efforts for targeted properties and advising in connection with strategic initiatives. He has served on the Oklahoma Assisted Living Association Board of Directors, appointed to the Governor’s Long Term Care Coalition, and consulted with Leading Age- Tennessee. Chris currently serves on the “I’m Still Here” National Board of Directors where programming development and implementation for those with Alzheimer’s Disease is the focus. Most recently, he served as Executive Director for Abe’s Garden Center of Excellence in Alzheimer’s Care in Nashville Tennessee.
